Richardson Cemetery

According to a website titled “Mysterious Morgan Branch Cemetery”, the graveyard of Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on Roaring Creek Road in Roan Mountain, actually called Rochardson Cemetery, is said to be haunted.

This cemetery is very crowded, so crowded in fact, that local legend has it that some graves are located on top of other graves.
Perhaps this crowding has led to discomfort among those buried, which might explain the paranormal activity said to originate
at this Cemetery. Strange lights and weird noises have been reported. Sometimes photographs taken here have shown orbs
of light, or other disturbances. It's enough to give even the casual observer a severe case of the creeps. (Ghosts & Spirits)

These mysterious cemetery lights are sometimes called corpse candles, and traditionally believed to be an antemortem apparition, predicting death in the family of the grave it appears over.
