Off Shell Creek Road from US-19 E in Roan Mountain is Teaberry Road (also called Teabury Road). There is a single gravestone on this road that local legend says belongs to a woman killed after being accused of practicing witchcraft. Hearsay says that the grave was filled with cement to keep her spirit down, and that s spirit of foreboding fills people when they examine the final resting place. This story may have been mixed with the story of Delinda from Dark Hollow Cemetery in Roan Mountain, who was rumored to be a witch. 1
