Carter County Memorial Hospital

From 1986 to 2000, curiosity-seekers explored the abandoned Carter County Memorial Hospital that has since been demolished, trying to have an encounter with a ghost. The building was a perfect example of stigmatized property. No legends of a certain ghost could be sited, but because it was abandoned and people had passed away inside, people were quite certain it must have been haunted. If there were any lingering discarnate personalities at the location, they are now free from their earthly restraints of being “stuck” in the placed they passed away.
