In The Marble and Other Ghost Tales of Tennessee and Virginia, Joe Tennis retells the legend of ghost of a waitress in the General Morgan Inn at 111 North Main Street in Greeneville, Tennessee. The hotel was built in 1890 and called the Grand Central Hotel, and later changed names to Hotel Brumley.

Joe Tennis writes that the curtains near the front desk sometimes blow in some invisible wind, since there’s nothing behind the curtains but a brick wall. The Green Room in the dining section is also the spot where “Green Room Grace” snatches spoons from customers.
