Ghoulie Hollow

In their book Haunts, Haints and Other Mysterious Tales of Hawkins County, co-authors Mike Williams and Joel Spears write about a haunted chestnut tree in Rogersville once used to hang criminals. It stands on private property in the woods at the end of Holston Hollow and folklore maintains that some victims can still be seen flitting through the trees around the site of their deaths.
