According to Hawkins County Historian Rodney Ferrell, the ghost of a little girl who gives the gate off of Cave Springs Road in Rogersville, Tennessee its name is said to appear to speeding vehicles. Perhaps the image is trying to warn drivers to slow down because, as legend has it, she was hit by a speeding vehicle in front of the gate where her image now appears.
