Mountain View Drive in Piney Flats is a dark, lonely road at night, but on some evenings phantom headlights have been seen approaching the railroad tracks and simply vanishing. More than two independent sources, all of whom wish to remain anonymous, have reported to the Haunt Masters Club: Tri-Cities Parapsychological Research & Investigation driving from Highway 19E into Piney Flats or Johnson City on this road that they have witnessed these headlights. In all cases, the story is that while approaching the curve before the train tracks, they see the headlights of a car coming towards them. Then, inexplicably, the headlights vanish. Could this disappearing car be evidence of a fatal car crash or just a memory stuck in time replaying itself again and again for stunned drivers?
