Gammon-Sterling House

In a Johnson City Press article from 11/01/2003 titled "Jonesborough: Ghosts or No Ghosts? You Decide”, staff writer James Brook proposes that the privately owned home is haunted by a horrifying event from the houses past. Brooks goes on to present the local legend that in the 1970s, a girl was found hanging inside, apparently a victim of suicide. Upon examination, however, it was discovered her lungs were filled with water, indicating homicide.
