According to Jonesborough resident Randy Ward, Jonesborough Presbyterian Church is rumored to be haunted. If this is true, it is only a psychic echo from the past. Built around 1840, the church segregated slaves into the choir loft. Certain gifted individuals can still hear voices of African Americans rejoicing after service.
