Lone Oak Hotel

The unassuming house crowded in downtown Limestone was once a grand, 14-room hotel and is said to be haunted. It was built in the 1890s by Billy Strain and was a popular stop for both guests traveling by train and for salesmen. The Broyles Family bought it in 1921 and remodeled it extensively. Most recently, Ron and Dorothy Blevins own the hotel and have restored it to its original splendor. They report, however, that the history seems alive and well in their house. An apparition of a misty lady often appears in the living room, as well as a man in a top hat and coat tales in the house all throughout the house. Otherworldly noises sound throughout the night and pictures are moved about on their own.
