According to a 10/29/2006 Bristol Herald Courier newspaper article titled "Lovingly Haunted”, Eleanor Heacock lives on the 800-block of Prospect Avenue in Bristol, Virginia and believes her mother, Dorothy Douglass Dickey, haunts her home. This presence is not frightening however, only occasionally making things move, causing strange noises in the house and even once causing the smell of a baking birthday cake for her daughter.
