Former Broadway star Robert Porterfield converted the old Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church into the theatre in 1933. It got its name during the Depression when people could trade livestock, vegetables and even feed to see a show at 133 West Main Street. Not surprisingly, the old theatre is reportedly haunted. Robert Porterfield is often seen on opening nights, and has reportedly even been seen on stage! 1, 2, 3, 4
