As the story goes, a man from Rogersville left his wife and built a house on Greenwood Drive in Johnson City. Neighbors said he was a quiet man who kept to himself, for the most part. He worked at Jobe’s Opera House until one night; he crossed the road and was hit by a carriage. Since then, a phantom lamplight has been seen leaving the old house and crossing the road. 1
