A certain hill in Johnson City, known as Masters Knob, is the site of a ghostly light that seems to glide down a particular path, and can be seen from the north side of the ravine. Locals say it is the lamplight from a reclusive Civil War veteran who was found frozen on early winter morning in 1880. 1
